Mangrove rehabilitation
Project RESHORE is a cash-for-work mangrove restoration programme running from 1 September to 31 October 2026 at the Bued Mangrove Eco-Park, restoring a 2.19-hectare section damaged by Typhoon Emong in 2025. Thirty qualified small-scale fisherfolk and residents from at-risk coastal households were trained on 26 August and work up to five hours a day clearing degraded mangroves, removing marine debris and planting new propagules, with allowances, protective gear and tools provided.
