Coastal or river cleanup
A one-day cleanup on 29 August 2026 mobilised 608 volunteers to clear about 40.17 km of riverbank along the Tumog River, which runs through 11 barangays of Luna town, to reduce blockages and flood risk. A total of 1,103.56 kg of waste was collected and sorted on site into recyclables, potential recyclables, special waste and residuals bound for disposal.
The measured result
Attendance was recorded on the day. Where planting is involved the survival count is taken again at sixty or ninety days, which is always a smaller number than the one announced on the day, and the only one worth publishing.
