Resolved, and now being watched so it does not simply happen again.
At about 7:20 p.m. on 9 August 2026, after relentless rains from the enhanced southwest monsoon, a slope collapsed at Sitio Riverside, Purok 2, Barangay Guisad Surong, Baguio City, destroying three houses; 10 people died and three survived, and 21 families of about 70 people were displaced. Search and retrieval ended at 2:50 a.m. on 11 August.
